Thanksgiving has always been my favorite holiday because of my love of food. This year it would be the meal that changed my life.
My first garden. I had a lot to learn. Rabbits would eat all of my seedlings, and squirrels would eat everything else. I put up a rabbit fence, and Ronnie built me a tomato cage to keep squirrels out, but it also kept the birds out, so worms ate most of the tomatoes.
Our livingroom in Lenexa, Kansas.
Our dining room.
My kitchen where I first started dreaming of growing all of our food.
The kitchen sink where I opened the high dollar organic turkey for Thanksgiving.
I took this photo after we built the retaining wall to keep the foundation from washing away around the house.
Ronnie removed and replaced the side entrance door and the buckling siding before we sealed and painted the house and replaced bedroom windows.
Ronnie and I repainted the house, and I did the landscaping to update the home.
We completely rehabbed the house and put it up for sale with the asking price on the sign.
